Summary
The Buddhist robe is called kaṣāya in Sanskrit and kesa in Japanese; the rakusu, a miniature travelling robe, has become a symbol of taking the precepts. In the chapter Doshin, Dogen writes that we should constantly wear the kaṣāya and sit in zazen, and that its merit is unfathomable.
