Teachers
Is it possible to study “the Truth” at all? Is it possible to study something that has never been separate from our own being? It is hard, especially at the beginning, when theories, books, articles on the internet and the like give us the impression that we should gain something, receive something, in order to discover that “Truth”. This is the nature of the dualistic mind, so hardly anyone avoids this detour. The teacher’s task is to bring us back to our natural being, here and now, and to show us what “the Truth” is not. Then, quite naturally and intuitively, in the middle of our ordinary lives, we discover what “the Truth” really is.
Our teacher here in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia is Mike Luetchford.
Besides Mike’s direct teaching during our retreats, we also study the teaching of other important Dharma teachers, above all Gudo Wafu Nishijima (Mike’s teacher), Dogen Zenji (founder of the Soto Zen school in Japan), Nagarjuna (an important Mahayana teacher from India) and of course the historical Buddha himself.
