One-minute orientation

Each overview offers the central thread, general meaning, or core essence of one text in about a minute of reading, without trying to retain every small detail.

It is written and maintained as a separate short text alongside the full published translation. Its first paragraph appears on the Shobogenzo translations hub; the full overview appears at the start of the corresponding text page.

An overview is an orientation, not a replacement for reading the complete text and its notes.
