Summary
A student asks the teacher what the truth of Buddhism is, and the teacher answers with something concrete: have you finished eating, go and wash your bowl, or drink up your tea, or go to bed. When the student goes to wash his bowl he has the whole of Buddhism, because what we are doing at this moment is the only reality. The truth is simple, direct and in front of us; only a very powerful picture stops us seeing it.
